Create and Assign Tags

Tags empower you to bring your own organisational structure into Outfit. Create and assign tags in a way that suits your content needs - regions, departments, services, or any other categorisation you see fit! With tags, it’s easier and quicker to distribute the right content to the right people.

Team tags is a new feature. Speak to your Customer Success Manager to first enable this feature on your account. Only Admins can manage tags.

Managing Tags

You can have as many tags, and teams in each tag, as you need - there is no limit.

Create or Assign Tags

To create or assign tags to teams:

  1. Head to Users and Teams in the side navigation menu.
  2. By default, you’ll land on the Users tab. Switch to the Teams tab.
  3. Select the team you would like to tag.
  4. Navigate to the team’s Settings.
  5. Under Tags, choose from existing tags or create a new tag.
  6. Click ‘Save’.

Repeat these steps for each team that needs to be tagged.

View all Tags

To view all tags and teams using each tag:

  1. Head to Users and Teams in the side navigation menu.
  2. By default, you’ll land on the Users tab. Switch to the Tags tab. In the Tags tab, you’ll be able to see all tags, including date created and teams attached to each tag.

Delete a Team Tag

  1. Head to Users and Teams in the side navigation menu.
  2. By default, you’ll land on the Users tab. Switch to the Tags tab.
  3. Select the ‘⋮’ menu icon on the tag you’d like to delete.
  4. Click ‘Delete’.
  5. Confirm tag deletion by clicking ‘Delete’ Again. Once deleted, the tag will be removed from any teams and content using this tag.

Using Tags for Content Distribtuion

You can distribute content to individual teams, or a group of teams by using Tags. If you add a team tag to a piece of content, all teams with that tag will be able to access that piece of content. And if you add a tag to a team, they then can access all content with that tag.

Tags is a new feature. Currently, tags can be added to project kits and template variations.

Assign a Team Tag to a Project Kit

To add a team tag to a project kit:

  1. Head to Projects in the side naviagation menu.
  2. Switch to the Project Kits tab.
  3. Select the project kit you would like to add a tag to.
  4. Switch to the Settings tab in the project kit.
  5. Under Kits Permissions, select the team tag for the teams you would like to be able to access this kit.
  6. Click ‘Save’.

All teams with that tag can now access this project kit.

Assign a Team Tag to a Template Variation

To add a team tag to a temple varaition:

  1. Head to Templates in the side naviagation menu.
  2. Select the template linked to the variation you would like to tag.
  3. Switch to the Template Variations tab.
  4. Click to select the template variation you would like to add a tag to. The variation will be highlighted with a tick when selected.
  5. With the varition selected, head to Permissions.
  6. Tick Custom.
  7. Select the team tag for the team you would like to access this template variation.

All teams with that tag can now access this template variation.
